CloudCostly editorial team
The people who collect the pricing data, build the comparisons and write the guides on this site.
Who we are
CloudCostly is written and maintained by the editorial team at Paracausality Systems, an Italian software company (VAT IT04869410615). We build and run web applications on the same hosting and cloud platforms we write about, which is where this site started: we were already tracking what our own infrastructure cost across providers, and there was no honest place to compare it.
What we cover
Shared hosting, VPS and dedicated servers, managed WordPress, and the pricing models of the large cloud platforms (AWS EC2, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud). We currently track 27 providers and 2,334 plans, and we write guides that answer the questions our own comparison data raises.
How we verify what we publish
Pricing is read from each provider's official pricing API where one is available, so the number you see is the number the provider itself publishes. Where a provider has no API, we collect prices and specifications from their public pricing page, and we label those plans as such rather than passing them off as live data. Every claim in a guide that involves a price is checked against that data before publication, and we update guides when the underlying prices move.
We take no money from hosting providers. No provider can pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to change the specifications and prices we show. Our full method is in our editorial standards, and the limits of what our data can tell you are set out in our disclaimer.
Corrections
If we have a price or a specification wrong, we want to know. Write to us at our contact page with the provider and the plan, and we will check it and correct it.
